System Information 1.8 is a system utility that gathers technical information on what is both inside and outside your computers box. A detailed system report can be generated and saved as a plain text file to include CPU (Intel and non-Intel), Video, Disk drive, Joystick, Memory, Operating system, Mouse, Keyboard, BIOS, CD-ROM, Sound card, MCI devices, Environment variables, and Printer information. Version 1.8 adds four new modules: Shared Files, System Metrics, Mixer, and Installed Software.
System Information also includes a server resource monitor to keep an eye on how efficiently Windows is utilizing your hardware. Being Internet aware it also returns your user name, the number of bytes sent and received, the current download speed, and the number of disk reads
and writes per second.
