Includes wizard, randomiser, and background music. The classical Lissajous curves are traced by a point swinging in two directions at once- Lissajous 3D takes this into three dimensions. Make relaxing animated swirly patterns which change shape. You can use properties of real materials such as gold, pearl, ruby. Many demo patterns included for the screen saver (over two hundred and fifty) and you can make new ones to add to it. The classical Lissajous curves are traced by a point swinging back and forth in two directions at once - Lissajous 3D follows this idea into three dimensions, You can set the lighting to sunset, sunny day, dawn, dusk etc. Includes a wizard suitable for young children, which can also be used by older children and adults. Also a randomiser. You can use its companion program Fractal Tune Smithy to generate intricate fractal music to accompany the saver - you can also set the patterns to respond to chords played in FTS. You can also set the screen saver to play any music you have in other formats (midi, mp3, wav etc) and it can select tunes at random from a folder or cd. Many pattern transforming effects included too, some related to things that happen with real world Lissajous patterns, or mathematical transformations of them - pattern drift so they continually change shape, gravity, magnet, inversion (turn inside out), friction, etc. Also options to change the formula for the curve, and to make spirographs - those patterns made by rolling wheels within each other - this is the same idea but taken into 3D. In the more complex patterns you have up to four oscillations in each of the three space directions running simultaneously. Now includes transparency effects, and colour ripples as well, and various forms of ribbon or tube including star cross section tubes, twisting tubes and bead effects, strings of spheres, and ribbons with ripples. Fog can be added as well depending on the distance into the shape - so you can have shapes that disappear in and out of the mist. Also you can make curves that spiral around themselves as they trace the Lissajous curve.
